A practical approach to canine and feline diabetes management in practice : stabilisation, monitoring and troubleshooting problems. This session will also include discussion of underlying causes of diabetes and how improved understanding of individual diabetic patients allows us to offer tailored care, helping owners cope more confidently with their diabetic pets.

Lucy Davison MA VetMB DSAM PhD DipECVIM-CA MRCVS
Lucy qualified from Cambridge as a veterinary surgeon in 1997. After several years in practice, where she passed her RVCS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine, she joined the Royal Veterinary College where she completed a PhD in clinical and immunological aspects of canine diabetes mellitus in 2004. This was followed by a residency in Small Animal Medicine in Cambridge, where she passed her RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Medicine and DipECVIM-CA examinations in 2006, becoming a European Specialist in Small Animal Medicine (re-accredited 2011).
