This e-learning course provides veterinarians with fundamental knowledge of veterinary cardiology. It covers the anatomy and physiology of the heart, common congenital abnormalities, diagnostic methods such as auscultation, ECG and reading chest radiographs. The course is practice-oriented and ideal for both refreshing existing knowledge and as an introduction to cardiac examination and treatment in small animal practice. Finally we will also dive into the basics of ultrasonography of the heart.

Andrew graduated from the University of Sydney in March 2019. After a few months in small animal practice he traded New South Wales for Old South Wales and moved to Cardiff, UK. After 12 months in Wales, he moved north to Newcastle to undertake a rotating internship at Wear Referrals. It was here he developed a fascination for cardiology, leading him to undertake a cardiology internship followed by a 3-year European residency in Small Animal Cardiology at the University of Liverpool which he completed in May 2025.
