Learning outcomes for participants include:

Develop a robust understanding of the meaning and process of triage.
Understand how to perform a triage survey and obtain a capsule history.
Understand the concept of perfusion and recognise signs of shock. 
Be able to confidently assign accurate triage levels. 

This program has been approved for 1 hour of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval. 

The accreditation of CE Points is approved under the condition of a positive completion of the test in the specified period and is valid until 19 Auguest 2026.

The Australian Veterinary Nurse and Technician (AVNAT) Regulatory Council has allocated (1) AVNAT CPD point to this continuing education activity.

Sara is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with 17 years clinical experience and has a strong passion for veterinary nurse training and development. Sara's own further education includes the Certificate in Veterinary Nursing for Emergency and Critical Care (CertVNECC) and the Veterinary Technician Speciality in Emergency and Critical Care.

Sara has worked in a variety of sectors, including first opinion, specialist centres, university teaching hospitals and not-for-profit organisations in the United Kingdom and Australia. Sara currently works as the training and development co-ordinator at one of Melbourne's largest veterinary hospitals. Sara’s professional interests include, emergency and critical care nursing, disease pathophysiology, anaesthesia and analgesia, wound care and in-clinic teaching and training.
