You may see patients with hypoadrenocorticism, but are you comfortable with all of the ins and outs of this disease? This lecture discusses hypoadrenocorticism including common breeds, the effects of the disease, and the specific laboratory changes that occur in a crisis. These emergent patients will be covered in detail so that veterinary technicians and nurses can recognize a potential crisis in bloodwork results, know how to quickly respond to these patients, and understand treatment strategies.
The Australian Veterinary Nurse and Technician (AVNAT) Regulatory Council has allocated (1) AVNAT CPD point to this continuing education activity.
