In this webinar, we will focus on the crucial aspects of neonatal monitoring that allow us to identify when a neonate is experiencing complications. Neonatal patients can often sueer in silence due to their underdeveloped neurological function, limited mobility, and lack of hearing and sight, which complicates the assessment of their condition. As a result, it is necessary to adopt a distinct approach to monitoring these patients compared to adult dogs and cats, in order to fully understand their current condition. By doing this, we can be more efficient in detecting when a neonate's condition is declining, and act appropriately to re-set them on a path to thriving.

An application for CE credits was submitted.

As well as discussing the ways in which we can recognise neonates who aren't thriving, and even prevent these instances from occurring, we will also discuss how to approach "true" cases of failure to thrive/fading puppies and kittens.
