Now is the best time to update yourself on Cushing’s: the last few years have seen the introduction of new treatments for the most common adrenal disorders as well as a change in understanding of previous habits. The lecture will present novel simple tools that aid the diagnosis and management of Cushing’s. An evidence-based method to monitor our trilostane-treated dogs would be led by measures of the clinical picture and quality of life of the trilostane (or otherwise) treated pet, alongside a chosen laboratory parameter (e.g. pre-pill cortisol).

Stijn is a honorary Professor in Internal Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College, getting his kick out of being involved in teaching and research, especially in the field of endocrinology. Stijn is also current President Elect of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
