Description

Brachycephalic breeds of dog are commonly encountered in small animal practice. These breeds have specific airway problems that very commonly require surgical intervention. If this can be undertaken early in the dogs life there is significantly less secondary change and the dogs are able to lead a more comfortable and active life. This lecture examines the Brachycephalic breeds, the issues associated with their airways, surgical options for treatment and how to achieve optimal outcomes thus improving the welfare and life of these lovable dogs.
