Module 5: Exotics Edition – "Imaging the Unusual" 27.08.2025 - 8pm AEST
 
Each module consists of a webinar, lecture documents and homework exercises which are corrected by the tutor.
 

The course is only available online from 2 July 2025 to 19 September 2025. In order to receive the training hours, the final test must be submitted and completed positively before 19 September 2025. 

Course completion awards 5 hours of CE in Australia and New Zealand.

Liane Shaw

Liane Shaw MSHE, BS, RVT, VTS (DI)

Liane Shaw is a 2003 graduate of the Veterinary Technology Program at Purdue University, where she earned not only an associate's degree, but also a bachelor's in applied science, with a minor in organizational leadership and supervision. She recently completed her masters in Higher education with Purdue University Global (PUG) and achieved a VTS in diagnostic imaging. Liane is a Senior Instructional technologist her specialties are Radiology (DXI), dentistry, and learner centered classrooms. Liane has been teaching in both programs (DL and on campus) since 2008 and is always looking at how to improve the students learning experience. Her excellence in teaching is highlighted by her awards received from Purdue University and Elanco Animal Health for Teaching Excellence in 2011 and 2018. Liane stays busy these days by spending her evenings with her husband and two sons on their small hobby farm in Indiana.

LydiaTrott

Lydia Trott BS, RVT, VTS-DI

Lydia is a 2009 graduate of Purdue University’s bachelor’s degree program in veterinary technology, where she then began her career in critical care and surgery at Purdue’s Large Animal Hospital before moving to the diagnostic imaging department in 2015. In her current role, Lydia performs advanced imaging exams daily on a diverse range of small, exotic, and large animal patients, including radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear scintigraphy, and fluorography. She has been a member of the AVTDI since 2020 and currently serves as chair of the credentials committee and a member-at-large on the executive board. Lydia is also an accomplished ultra-cyclist with Randonneurs USA, completing prestigious events such as London-Edinburgh-London and Paris-Brest-Paris. When she’s not on the bike she enjoys camping with her husband, reading a good book on the couch surrounded by her five cats, or taking the llamas (2) and dogs (2) down to the creek for a swim.
