Dentistry composes a large part of daily small animal practice. Performing extractions is an important part of this. In this talk we will cover:
- Indications for tooth extraction, with some mention of possible alternatives
- Patient preparation, including positioning, analgesia and antibiotic use
- Armamentum and brief discussion of extraction technique
- Possible complications and how to avoid them.

Nadine Fiani

Nadine was born in Egypt and moved to Australia with her family as a child. She graduated from Sydney University in 2005 and completed a residency in Dentistry and Oral Surgery at UC Davies in 2011. She became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College in 2013 and has previously worked at SASH in Sydney. Nadine relocated to the US in late 2014, currently working at Cornell University.
