Top Five Ophthalmic Emergencies for Nurses
Top Five Ophthalmic Emergencies for Nurses

Long term or surgical management of acute glaucoma, anterior lens luxation, corneal descemetocele, globe prolapse and acute blindness may best be provided by a veterinary ophthalmologist. However, prompt diagnosis and emergency treatment by the referring clinic may very well mean the difference between a salvaged eye and blindness or enucleation. In this talk we shall discuss practical tips for the immediate care of these emergency cases which can change the patients outcome

The Australian Veterinary Nurse and Technician (AVNAT) Regulatory Council has allocated (1) AVNAT CPD point to this continuing education activity.
