Between a rock and a hard plaque: anaesthesia for the dental procedure
Between a rock and a hard plaque: anaesthesia for the dental procedure
From routine dental cleaning to complex oral surgery and extractions, dental procedures require careful anaesthetic planning and vigilant patient management. This webinar explores the key considerations for providing safe and effective anaesthesia in veterinary dentistry, including pre-anaesthetic assessment, airway protection, patient positioning, monitoring, and recovery. We will also discuss multimodal analgesia and the role of local nerve blocks. We will discuss how to manage common complications such as hypothermia and hypotension. Practical tips and case-based examples will help attendees build confidence in delivering smoother anaesthetic experiences and better outcomes for dental patients.
