Snake envenomation patients pose as one of the most difficult and variable cases to treat, and these patients can present with a variety of symptoms and conditions from tetraparesis and respiratory collapse through to coagulopathy and severe anaemia. In this webinar we will be covering the pathogenesis, clinical signs and treatment of snake envenomation patients; with emphasis on how to care for your patient to ensure the best possible outcome.

Dr Samantha Livingstone BVSc (hons) MANZCVSc (E&CC)
Samantha graduated from the University of QLD in 2011 with honours. She then went on to practice in small animal clinics in the north shore of Sydney for 2 years before moving to Darwin where working afterhours awakened her love of emergency and critical care. After moving back to Brisbane in 2015 she worked in afterhours clinics before starting at Brisbane Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in mid 2015. Since then Samantha has attained her memberships in Emergency and Critical Care and has found a true passion in caring for our Emergency patients. Samantha’s areas of special interest include trauma patients and toxicology.
