Cats are prone to both anaemia and infectious diseases – let’s focus on the overlap between the two. What types of anaemia are caused by infectious agents? We’ll cover the wide range of infectious anemia causes in cats with a particular focus on common causes, such as haemoplasmosis, FeLV, or diseases in which recent research has advanced clinical understanding such as feline infectious peritonitis.
