Time management is a key aspect of veterinary nursing, especially when the clinic gets busy. Being efficient and able to prioritise patients and procedures should be a primary skill of the veterinary worker. This webinar intends to broaden the use of triage, from the ER room to everyday life. Organisation is key to any successful career in ECC and this lecture will propose how to use a ‘triage system’ not only for incoming emergencies, but to prioritise inpatient care and managerial organisation. By the end of the webinar, the participant should be able to understand different types of thought processes and time management systems such as SMART objectives and how we can address these practically; apply transferrable skills (how to triage all your inpatients; how to triage your general workload (managerial)) and understand how we can use these organisational and time management tips and skills to make our job satisfaction, mental wellbeing and overall happiness, our priority.
The Australian Veterinary Nurse and Technician (AVNAT) Regulatory Council has allocated (1) AVNAT CPD point to this continuing education activity.

She is highly experienced and passionate about all aspects of emergency and critical care nursing, but her specific interests include critical care patients including renal and septic patients, and cardio-respiratory patients.
