Ultrasound Modular Course Sept - Oct 2026
Ultrasound Modular Course Sept - Oct 2026

Join Dr Catheryn Walsh for this comprehensive four-module online course designed to strengthen your knowledge and confidence in basic small animal abdominal ultrasonography.

Throughout the program, you will explore:

  • Imaging Artifacts in Ultrasonography
  • Ultrasound of the Liver and Gall Bladder
  • Ultrasound of the Spleen, Pancreas and Adrenal Glands
  • Ultrasound of the Gastrointestinal and Urinary Tracts

Ultrasonography is an essential diagnostic tool in modern small animal practice. As high-quality ultrasound equipment becomes increasingly accessible in veterinary hospitals, the ability to accurately perform and interpret ultrasound examinations is an invaluable clinical skill. Throughout this course, Dr Walsh will guide you through the normal sonographic appearance of abdominal organs, discuss common imaging artifacts, and examine the most frequently encountered pathological conditions seen in general practice.

Course Format

Modules will be released every two weeks, allowing you time to work through the content before completing the associated homework by the scheduled due dates. A final multiple-choice assessment will become available after the release of the final module.
