John graduated from the University of Queensland in 1988. He worked in general practice in Brisbane for 18 months before travelling to the UK in 1990, where he worked in small animal practice for the next 11 years. He was a clinical assistant in dermatology at the Animal Health Trust from 1998 to 2001. In 2001 John set up North Kent Referrals, a multi-disciplinary referral practice in the south of England, and he owned and ran the practice until its sale in 2012.
John is a registered specialist in Veterinary Dermatology. He holds the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology, is a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVS) by examination in small animal medicine, and is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. John is a past President of the British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group.
Following his return to Brisbane in 2013, John joined the team at Dermatology for Animals. His clinical interests include the management of allergic skin disease in dogs, immune mediated skin disorders, and all aspects of feline and equine dermatology. John has regularly presented on the subject of veterinary dermatology to veterinary surgeons and nurses in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Jonathan Elliott is currently Professor in Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology at the Royal Veterinary College. A Cambridge Veterinary Graduate, his PhD was in vascular biology at the Department of Pharmacology in Cambridge and post-graduate clinical training was undertaken at the University of Pennsylvania. He joined the RVC in 1990 as a lecturer in Veterinary Pharmacology and developed research interests in feline kidney disease and hypertension and equine laminitis. His research has resulted in a number of awards recognising the impact of his work on clinical practice, including the Pfizer Academic Award (1998), BSAVA Amoroso Award (2001), Petplan Charitable Trust Award (2005), ESVNU Scientific Award (2007) and BSAVA Woodrow Award (2019). His is a board member of the International Renal Interest Society and was president of the European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (2018-2021). He has published more than 235 international peer reviewed original papers and reviews and supervised 37 PhD students to completion. He is editor of a number of text books, most recently (2020) Hypertension in the dog and cat published by Springer Nature Switzerland AG (ISBN 978-3-030-33019-4). From 2004-2021 he served as Vice Principal for Research and Innovation at the RVC leading the research strategy for the College and taking responsibility for the submission of last three research excellence framework (REF) exercises.

Dr Josh moved over to Australia in 1999 after completing an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biochemistry. His passion for veterinary medicine started with his first job as a veterinary assistant when he was 12 and continued through with his work as a veterinary nurse going through university in the US and Australia. He completed his veterinary science degree at the University of Queensland in 2005 and his Masters in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery through Murdoch in 2009. His interests include internal medicine with special interests in pathology and imaging. He also has a large interest in our smaller pets including birds, rodents and reptiles. When not at the clinic he spends time rock climbing, fishing and kayaking. Josh lives with his wife and two cats Bumble and Diego. He is currently studying for his Memberships in Feline Medicine through the Australian Veterinary Association.

Nach erfolgreicher Beendigung ihres Studiums der Veterinärmedizin in Wien im Jahr 2008, arbeitete Julia zwei weitere Jahre an der Kleintierklinik der Universität Wien. Danach absolvierte sie ein einjähriges Internship am Animal Health Trust, einer Überweisungsklinik in England. Nach einem kurzen Zwischenspiel in der Kleintierpraxis in Österreich, kam sie zurück an den Animal Health Trust für eine dreijährige Residency (Spezialistenausbildung) in Anästhesie und Analgesie und legte erfolgreich die Prüfung zum Diplomate ECVAA 2016 ab. Danach blieb Julia am Animal Health Trust und seit zwei Jahren arbeitet Julia als Oberärztin für Langford Vets, University of Bristol, England.

After completing her vet school in Maison-Alfort (Paris, France) in 2003, Julie did her final year and internship in St hyacinthe, Montreal, Canada. She came back to France to practice in the field (emergencies, reproduction) and went to Argentina to learn embryo transfer on polo mares.
She decided to complete her education by a residency in internal medicine in St Hyacinthe and became diplomate of the ACVIL (American College of Veterinary Medicine) and ECEIM (European College of Equine Internal Medicine).
She then worked for large practices in France and Belgium:
- Clinique des Breviaires near Paris, where she practiced equine orthopaedics with Dr Philippe Benoit
- ESMP in Belgium with Dr Emmanuelle van Erck: sports medicine, respiratory medicine
- Livet Equine hospital in Normandy: intensive care, neonatalogy
She finally created her own specialist practice, VET INSIDE in 2020. It is an ambulatory referring practice in cardiology, sports medicine, internal medicine, based in France.

Seit nunmehr 27 Jahren (1993) arbeitet sie als angestellte Tierärztin in der Pferdeklinik Bargteheide (Schleswig-Holstein) und ist seit 2005 Fachtierärztin für Pferde. Die Schwerpunkte liegen in der Orthopädie, Kardiologie und Augenheilkunde.
2018 bestand sie die Prüfung bei der International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP) unter der Leitung von Prof. Denoix. Seit über 20 Jahren ist sie nebenberuflich Referentin bei Workshops und Tagungen zum Thema Ultraschall im In-und Ausland.

Julien graduated from the University of Bern, Switzerland, in 2002. Following a rotating internship in the same institution from 2003 to 2004, he undertook a 10 month research project in dermatology.
His medicine residency (from 2005 to 2008) was a joint program between the University of Bern and of Louisiana State University, following which he was awarded the status of Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Medicine.
Julien worked in a private referral centre in southern England (Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists), before joining the University of Liverpool as Clinician teacher at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital for 2 years. He then worked as a Consultant in Small Animal Medicine for IDEXX for a year and a half, and is presently undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne.
Julien’s main interests in medicine include gastrointestinal disease, nephrology, endocrinology, and haematology.

Dr Guillaumin graduated from the French Veterinary School of Nantes in 2001. After graduation and a Small Animal Internship (Surgical emphasis) in the French Veterinary School of Alfort, he practiced in France in both private practice settings (Argenteuil, Versailles) and academia (SIAMU in the French Veterinary School of Lyon, currently Vet Agro Sup). He completed his ECC residency training at the University of California in Davis, and has been a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care since 2009. He is also a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. He spent 10 years as a faculty member at The Ohio State University and is now a faculty at Colorado State University.
