Not Just a Makeover - Emotional Care for Shelter Dogs in Grooming

Grooming is more than aesthetics—it’s a welfare touchpoint. This session combines theory and practice to help groomers recognise behavioural cues, reduce stress, and apply trauma-informed techniques. Using the Five Domains Model, we explore how each domain—especially behaviour and mental state—shapes the grooming experience.
