Anton Fürst ist in Vorarlberg aufgewachsen und hat an den Universitäten Neuchâtel und Zürich Veterinärmedizin studiert. Von 1990 bis 1997 war Anton Fürst Assistent am Veterinärchirurgischen Institut der Vetsuisse-Fakultät der Universität Zürich. Während dieser Zeit absolvierte er die Prüfungen für den Pferdefachtierarzt der Schweiz (FVH-Pferde) und das europäische Board für Chirurgie (DECVS). 1998 hielt sich Fürst im Rahmen des «Willenegger Fellowship» an der Ohio State University of Columbus (USA) auf. Im Februar 2011 nahm er die Berufung zum Lehrstuhl für Pferdechirurgie in Zürich an und ist seitdem Direktor der Klinik für Pferdechirurgie an der Vetsuisse-Fakultät der Universität Zürich. Im Mittelpunkt seiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit steht die biomechanische und biodynamische Untersuchung von Pferdeknochen, die Beurteilung der Frakturentstehung in experimentellen Untersuchungen und die Analyse von neuen Fixationssystemen. Daneben gilt sein Forschungsinteresse der Behandlung von subchondralen Knochenzysten beim Pferd sowie der Verbesserung der Erste-Hilfe-Maßnahmen schwerverletzter oder –erkrankter Pferde.

Anu is passionate about Equine Ophthalmology, and is a member of the International Equine Ophthalmology Consortium. She has become widely experienced in Exotic Ophthalmology and is a consultant for the Royal Melbourne Zoo.

Dr Arthur House is an internationally recognised specialist in small animal surgery in both Australia and Europe. Arthur has pursued his passion in small animal surgery since graduation achieving post graduate qualifications in surgery, initially in general practice, followed by advanced surgical training in a multi-discipline university hospital.
Arthur was a lecturer in Small Animal Surgery at the Royal Veterinary College, London prior to his return home to Australia. In addition to providing specialist surgical referral services to his patients, Arthur continues to be active in veterinary postgraduate training through provision of continuing education lectures, co-supervision of PhD students and has been an author in several textbooks.
Arthur is involved in collaborative research with colleagues who work in university hospitals and has a broad range of publications. Arthur has an extensive range of specialist surgical experience and skills and strives to maximise patient outcomes by application of best practice and evidence based medicine and surgery. Arthur strongly encourages a team and holistic approach to patient care.

Dr. Asaf Dagan serves as Chief Veterinary Scientist of PetPace LTD. Dr. Dagan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP), specialising in Canine and Feline medicine. He is also Certified in veterinary acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). In addition, he successfully completed advanced training in diagnostic ultrasound, laser surgery techniques and orthopedics. Dr. Dagan graduated with honors from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and was admitted to Phi-Zeta, the Veterinary Honor Society. He practiced small animal veterinary medicine in large veterinary hospitals in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Israel, dealing with a variety of medicine, surgery and emergency cases. Dr. Dagan also holds a LL.B degree (magna cum laude) from Tel-Aviv University Law School.

Asha is a registered and accredited veterinary nurse from Melbourne, with over 18 years of industry experience. Holding a Diploma of Veterinary Nursing to specialise in Emergency & Critical Care, Asha spent 16 years at the University of Melbourne Veterinary Hospital where she developed her passion for clinical excellence, education and leadership, before recently transitioning into the new Greencross Veterinary Hospital at the University of Melbourne where she has taken on the role of Emergency & Critical Care Team Leader.
After holding state committee leadership positions for many years, in 2020 Asha was elected onto the VNCA’s National Board of Directors where she has enjoyed contributing to the advancement of and advocacy for the nursing industry across Australia. In 2024, she was elected into her current role as Vice President of the VNCA. Asha has a passion for educating nurses and is a guest lecturer at tertiary institutions in Melbourne. She also frequently speaks at conferences and events, authors articles for publication in the Australian Veterinary Nurses Journal, and mentors junior and student nurses. To further support her pursuit in learning and teaching, she is currently studying a Masters degree in Clinical Education.

My name is Ashleigh Ehrmann and I am a Veterinary Technician graduate from University of Queensland.I have been working in veterinary clinics since 2008 but in 2014 after graduating from UQ I made the move to my true passion – Emergency and Critical Care.Working in ECC you see a vast variety of cases often requiring immediate intervention and many of these occasions it can include cases involving poisons and toxicities. The fundamentals of emergency require a thorough confidence understanding of cases to be able to implement immediate intervention. Continued learning is a passion of mine and I have decided to take my veterinary technology knowledge and continue my learning journey into the world of veterinary medicine.I am currently working at Animal Emergency Service in Brisbane on my holidays and while I study I work at the James Cook University veterinary hospital.The more you do, the more you can do – so never stop learning! I am excited to share my passions for emergency triage and treatment for poisons and toxicities with you.

Ash graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, UK with an FdSc in Veterinary Nursing in 2010, and worked in First Opinion Practice in Dorset with access to Low Field MRI and Digital Radiography Systems.
He returned to the RVC in 2012, undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Clinical and Professional Veterinary Nursing whilst continuing to work in First Opinion Practice, choosing to undertake the surgical nursing and diagnostic imaging elective modules, which further developed his interest in radiography. During this period he built and coded a custom image storage system for the practice he worked at, allowing query and retrieval of digital imaging studies.
Ash joined the RVC's Queen Mother Hospital for Animals in 2016 as a Veterinary Radiographer, working exclusively in the Radiology department and performing a range of diagnostic imaging studies, including Fluoroscopy, CT and MRI. He is currently Administrator for the RVC's Vendor Neutral Archive storage system, overseeing a system of interconnected storage and viewing platforms that serve all clinical imaging equipment across both RVC campuses at Hawkshead and Camden.
He has been involved in teaching Veterinary Nurses at post graduate level, as well as providing CPD courses focused on Diagnostic Imaging, and has a particular interest in the provision of practical radiography skills to both Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons, as well as the use of CT and MRI data for 3D models to assist with student education and owner understanding.

Im Rahmen der Residency war sie auch ein Jahr an der Universität in Athens/USA beschäftigt. Anschließend war Frau Wehner an der Universität Gent/Belgien als Internistin tätig. Seit 2008 ist sie wieder an die Medizinische Kleintierklinik München als Oberärztin für Innere Medizin der Kleintiere mit dem Schwerpunkt Endokrinologie zurückgekehrt. Neben der klinischen Arbeit in der Klinik und der Ausbildung von Studierenden umfasst ihre Tätigkeit die Betreuung von wissenschaftlichen Studien.
