This webinar will cover anatomy of the spleen and liver. We will consider general considerations of splenic and liver sampling. The considerations and basics of a splenic and liver surgery will be covered including splenectomy, liver biopsies and partial liver lobectomies.

Tom Hernon

BVSc MSc CertAVP(GSAS) DipECVS MRCVS

Tom graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2014. He worked in a mixture of charity practice and referral hospitals before joining the surgery team at Langford Vets in 2018 as a surgical assistant. He went on to complete an ECVS residency in Small Animal Surgery and was awarded a European Diploma in Small Animal Surgery in 2023. He is now one of the senior surgeons in small animal soft tissue surgery. His particular interests are minimally invasive surgery, urogenital surgery and wound management and reconstruction.
