Biometrics and the Digital Patient - How wearable technology is revolutionizing veterinary medicine

Advances in digital technology in recent years, including miniaturization of sensors, universal connectivity (IoT), BigData analytics and cloud storage services, became the ground on which we see the rise of wearable devices. It is now possible to non-invasively and automatically collect huge amounts of accurate data on animals and use it to learn about their health, behavior and response to certain conditions or interventions. In this lecture we will explore and explain the current state of wearable technology for pets and how it can be applied and used in every day practice.
