Louise O’Dwyer has worked at PetMedics, the UKs largest emergency clinic for the past 12 years and is currently Clinical Director. Louise holds both the Medical and Surgical Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing as well as being a board certified veterinary technician specialist in Emergency and Critical Care. In 2012 Louise gained her MBA and is currently a part time PhD student at Manchester Metropolitan University looking at resistant bacteria in veterinary practice and their relevance in biofilms.
Louise contributes regularly to veterinary nursing articles, sitting on the editorial board of the Veterinary Nurse journal. Louise is the author of ‘Wound Management for the Veterinary Nurse and Technician’ and the forthcoming ‘Practical Techniques in Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Nursing’.
Louise lectures regularly in the UK and internationally on a range of topics.
