Elena Regine Moldal graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, and began her career in general small animal practice. She completed a PhD in small animal surgery at the University of Copenhagen, followed by a surgical residency at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). A Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS), she now combines clinical practice with a research role at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), drawing on long-standing surgical experience.
Her work integrates the operating theatre and the laboratory, with a central focus on the biology of surgical stress and on strategies to support the body’s endogenous healing before, during, and after surgery—as well as through non-surgical pathways. She leads research into cranial cruciate ligament disease (CCLD) and supervises PhD fellows and surgical trainees. Clinically, she maintains a broad caseload across orthopaedic, soft tissue, neurosurgical, and emergency procedures, and is committed to evidence-based, low-stress surgical care that improves recovery and outcomes

Dr. Elizabeth Goudie-DeAngelis attended Ross University College of Veterinary Medicine, she completed her clinical year at the University of Missouri before returning to New York where she worked as an emergency clinician for several months before her rotating small animal internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in NYC. Following her rotating internship she returned to ER briefly before starting a comparative anesthesiology residency and Master's program at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing her residency she started the anesthesiology department at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in NYC, she currently heads the anesthesiology department for the four locations.

Her current clinical role is in a boutique, independent, small animal specialist hospital in Sydney. Within this referral hospital, she is the Director of Clinical Improvement & Innovation, a role which highlights her commitment to advancing veterinary science by providing leadership and advice on clinical excellence, innovation and implementing best practice. She is focused on maximising health outcomes for patients, improving care and safety, championing evidence-based practice and clinical innovation, supporting clinical collaboration, antimicrobial stewardship and fluid stewardship initiatives and prioritising positive mental health of veterinary professionals. She also volunteers in the Not-for-profit sector, promoting a One Health agenda, in her pursuit of protecting the health and wellbeing of animals, wildlife and humans.

Ellie qualified in 1999 from Cambridge Veterinary School and after 3 years in small animal practice she. She worked at Bristol University for a year, and after gaining the RCVS Diploma in Feline Medicine she worked in private referral practice in the North West of England where she was proud to be awarded RCVS Specialist Status in Feline Medicine and later to establish a centre for radioiodine treatment of hyperthyroid cats. Ellie has since established her own company, Feline Better Ltd, providing a visiting feline medicine consultancy service to local practices in the North West England and North Wales, allowing her to indulge her passion for cats even further. She also works part time for Axiom Veterinary Laboratories, is an associate editor for the BVA’s In Practice journal, is a lecturer and examiner for the RCVS CertAVP Feline Medicine modules, and is regularly called upon as a speaker, both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Elsa Beltran received her veterinary degree from the University Cardenal Herrera Ceu, Valencia, Spain, in 2002, following which she spent two years in general practice before undertaking an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at University of Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Beltran completed a neurology internship in 2006 followed by a residency in neurology and neurosurgery at the Animal Health Trust, Newmarket, United Kingdom. Dr Beltran obtained the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Neurology in 2011 and afterwards she spent 4 years as Senior Clinician at the same institution. In 2014, she joined the Royal Veterinary College, University of London where she is currently working as Associate Professor in Neurology-Neurosurgery. She is the chairperson of the ECVN Credential and Recertification Committee. She is interested in all aspects of veterinary neurology and neurosurgery, but has a particular interest in neuro-ophthalmology, neuroimaging and neurosurgery. Dr Beltran has a passion for learning on Veterinary Education and she obtained the postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Education in April 2019 and becoming a fellow of the higher education academy.

Her daily duties are centred around anaesthesia and supporting patients through diagnostics procedures. Emily is also the lead regenerative medicine nurse, championing the use of stem cells for canine osteoarthritis.

Emma is a veterinary nurse with over 14 years of expertise in referral medicine. She holds a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), a Postgraduate Certificate in Anaesthesia, and a Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care. She is currently furthering her professional development by studying for a Certificate in Training and Assessment.
Throughout her career, Emma has gained extensive experience across a range of specialties, including internal medicine, oncology, surgery, and emergency and critical care. She is dual-registered with both the RCVS in the UK and the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia (VNCA).
Emma is an active contributor to the veterinary nursing community, having delivered presentations at conferences across Australia and provided webinars for both veterinary nurse training providers and private practices.

Emmanuelle graduated in 1996 from the French Veterinary School of Maisons-Alfort. She worked at Equine Sports Medicine Centre at the University of Liège (Belgium) obtained a PhD on respiratory function testing in horses.
In 2010, she created an ambulatory referral practice, the ‘Equine Sports Medicine Practice’ which offers specialized service in equine internal and sports medicine throughout Europe, investigating performance and poor performance in equine athletes of all disciplines. Emmanuelle is team veterinarian for Belgium and veterinary expert for the FEI.
She is also a diplomate of the European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM). She is author or co-author of over 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles and regularly lectures at international conferences.

Erika's current academic activities encompass clinical teaching and management of referral cases in the department of small animal internal medicine at the University of Queensland Veterinary Medical Centre, classroom teaching for veterinary students in their 3d, 4th and 5th years as well as research work and grant writing. Erika’s research areas of interest are minimally-invasive techniques, infectious diseases such as MRSA, and respiratory diseases. She is also very much into the use of new technologies that can help her patients but also into innovative methods of teaching veterinary students and professionals.
