Kath graduated from the University of Sydney in 2003, graduating with first class honours and the University Medal. Kath worked in private small animal practice in Sydney and the UK for three years. In 2006, Kath completed her internship in small animal medicine at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Sydney after which she completed her Fellowship training program in feline medicine. In 2008, Kath attained membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in feline medicine. During her residency, Kath completed a research project on the pathology of feline low grade alimentary lymphoma and inflammatory bowel disease. Kath has a keen interest in all aspects of canine and feline medicine, and is also passionate about providing continuing education for veterinary practitioners. After 5 years at the University of Sydney, Kath joined the team at the Animal Referral Hospital, Sydney, she also passed her Fellowship examinations in June 2012 and is now a registered specialist in Feline Medicine. She has recently made a sea-change and is working at Pacific Vetcare in Coffs Harbour – a first opinion practice. Years of referral practice have allowed unique insights into ways in which a primary accession clinic might improve the health of its feline patients and provide superior services to their owners. Dr Briscoe is also keen to ensure general practitioners are well versed in what can be achieved in their own clinics and at what stage one should consider referral.

Katie qualified and registered with the RCVS in 2012 after studying at MYF in Aldershot, UK. She started working at the Royal Veterinary College shortly after this, and transferred to the Emergency and Critical Care department of the QMHA in 2013. Katie is appointed as a Senior ECC Nurse, helping to lead the team of 30 Specialist RVNs in the largest veterinary ECC department in Europe. Katie is a member of the BVNA and BSAVA, is currently a regional representative for the BSAVA; and has written articles for a number of journals. Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her two Springer Spaniels, Flo and Martha.

Katherine is a highly motivated emergency and critical care veterinary nurse with a wealth of experience in first opinion, referral and emergency and critical care practice.
Katherine currently work's at a busy out of hour’s clinic which includes all aspects of emergency and critical care nursing. Katherine received her qualifications in January 2000 and has worked in primary care practice, referral practice and now mainly ECC.
Katherine passed the Veterinary Technician Specialty in Emergency and Critical Care in November 2009 and is a tutor for the Vets-Now Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care allowing Veterinary Nurses and technicians to expand their knowledge and pursue further qualifications in their chosen field.

Dr. Kathleen Cooney, has been practicing advanced end-of-life care since 2006. She is Director of Education for the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA), Guardian Pet Aquamation and Cooney Animal Hospice Consulting. Dr. Cooney is a past President of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) and remains active in their organization, including design of their Animal Hospice and Palliative Care Certification Program, launched in 2016. She is well-known for her work in companion animal euthanasia and has authored two books on the subject along with numerous articles and book chapters. Dr. Cooney has collaborated in euthanasia training for the AVMA, AAHA, HABRI, IAAHPC, Fear Free Program, and more. Dr. Cooney is a strong advocate for best practices in all aspects of end-of-life care and speaks nationally and internationally on such topics. She is currently working towards board certification in animal welfare.

Kathleen Mc Entee est diplômée de l'Université de Liège (ULg) en juin 1990. Elle est assistante en Médecine interne des animaux de compagnie de 1990 à 1997 à l’ULg. Elle y défend sa thèse de doctorat et obtient le diplôme du Collège Européen de Médecine Interne des Animaux de Compagnie dans la section cardiologie. Elle est actuellement Professeur de physiologie à l'Université Libre de Bruxelles et collaboratrice scientifique en Cardiologie à l’Université de Liège. Elle est auteur de 24 et co-auteur de 25 articles scientifiques publiés dans des revues internationales avec comité de lecture. Son thème de recherche est la physiopathologie et les nouveaux traitements de défaillance cardiaque.

Kathrin Busch promovierte an der Medizinischen Kleintierklinik der LMU München zum Thema „Akutes hämorrhagisches Diarrhoes Syndrom“. Nach einem Intership blieb sie der Kleintierklinik und Inneren Medizin treu und absolvierte eine Residency, welche Sie 2018 abschloss. Seitdem ist sie als Oberärztin dort tätig und hat ihre Liebe für die Gastroenterologie wiedergefunden. Ihr Forschungsschwerpunkt ist das intestinale Mikrobiom, dessen Einfluss auf andere Organsysteme, den sogenannten Achsen, sowie dessen Beeinflussung, insbesondere durch Kottransplantation.

Kathrin Siedenburg schloss ihr Studium der Veterinärmedizin an der Veterinärmedizinischen Universität Wien im Jahr 2015 ab. Nach einigen Jahren in der allgemeinen Praxis kehrte sie 2018 an die Universität zurück, um ein einjähriges Rotating Internship für Kleintiere zu absolvieren, das ihr Interesse an der Notfall- und Intensivmedizin (ECC) weckte. Aufbauend auf dieser Erfahrung blieb sie für ein Fellowship auf der Intensivstation bevor sie 2021 nach Deutschland zog, um eine Alternate Track Residency im Bereich der Notfall- und Intensivmedizin an der Tierärztlichen Hochschule Hannover (TiHo Hannover) in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Royal Veterinary College in London zu beginnen, welche sie im Herbst 2025 erfolgreich mit dem Diplomate-Titel (ECVECC) abschloss. Über die letzten Jahre hat sie gemeinsam mit ihrem Team die Intensivstation der TiHo Hannover aufgebaut und engagiert sich in der Ausbildung von Interns und Studenten im Bereich der Notfallmedizin.

Kathryn graduated from the University of Melbourne with her BSc and DVM, and subsequently commenced working at Southpaws Specialty Surgery in Melbourne as a rotating intern. She developed a strong passion for surgery during her internship, and ultimately undertook a surgical residency at Southpaws via the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS). She has obtained her memberships in small animal surgery through the ANZCVS. Her residency will be completed in February 2020, following which she will continue on working at Southpaws as a surgical registrar in the lead up to her specialist exams in early 2021.
